- 1 lb kielbasa sausage
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Slice the kielbasa into 1-inch thick rounds. Then, make several shallow cuts across each slice (Hasselback style), being careful not to cut all the way through.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, BBQ sauce, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Place the kielbasa slices on the prepared baking sheet and brush generously with the maple BBQ glaze. Make sure to get some of the glaze into the cuts of each slice for extra flavor.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the kielbasa is heated through and slightly crispy on the edges. Halfway through, baste the kielbasa with more glaze.
- Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and serve warm as an appetizer or snack.
Notes
- If you prefer a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or use a spicy BBQ sauce.
- These kielbasa bites can also be grilled instead of baked for an added smoky flavor.
- For a different twist, try adding a sprinkle of crumbled bacon on top before serving.
