Description

Juicy chicken meatballs simmered in a rich and creamy tomato sauce with a hint of spice, perfect served over pasta or rice.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine ground chicken, Parmesan, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
  2. Form mixture into 1-inch meatballs.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add meatballs and cook, turning occasionally, until browned on all sides and cooked through, about 8–10 minutes. Remove meatballs and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add marinara sauce, heavy cream, red pepper flakes, and oregano. Stir and simmer for 3–5 minutes until sauce is heated through and slightly thickened.
  5. Return meatballs to the skillet, spoon sauce over them, and simmer for another 5 minutes.
  6. Serve meatballs with sauce over pasta, rice, or crusty bread.

Notes

  • Adjust red pepper flakes to make the sauce more or less spicy.
  • For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half or coconut milk.
  • Garnish with fresh basil or extra Parmesan cheese before serving.
