Description
Juicy chicken meatballs simmered in a rich and creamy tomato sauce with a hint of spice, perfect served over pasta or rice.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine ground chicken, Parmesan, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Form mixture into 1-inch meatballs.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add meatballs and cook, turning occasionally, until browned on all sides and cooked through, about 8–10 minutes. Remove meatballs and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add marinara sauce, heavy cream, red pepper flakes, and oregano. Stir and simmer for 3–5 minutes until sauce is heated through and slightly thickened.
- Return meatballs to the skillet, spoon sauce over them, and simmer for another 5 minutes.
- Serve meatballs with sauce over pasta, rice, or crusty bread.
Notes
- Adjust red pepper flakes to make the sauce more or less spicy.
- For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half or coconut milk.
- Garnish with fresh basil or extra Parmesan cheese before serving.
