This copycat of McDonald’s Steak, Egg & Cheese sandwich features tender seasoned steak, fluffy scrambled egg, and melted cheese on a soft sandwich bun — perfect for a hearty breakfast.
Ingredients

- 4 oz thinly sliced steak (such as sirloin or ribeye)
- 1 large egg
- 1 slice American cheese
- 1 sandwich bun (English muffin, biscuit, or regular bun)
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
Instructions
- Season the steak slices with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the steak for 2–3 minutes per side until browned and cooked through. Remove and keep warm.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and scramble the egg until just set. Season with a little salt and pepper.
- Toast the sandwich bun lightly.
- Assemble the sandwich by layering steak, scrambled egg, and American cheese on the bottom half of the bun.
- Top with the other half of the bun and serve warm.
Notes
- Use thinly sliced deli-style steak for convenience.
- Substitute cheese with your favorite type if preferred.
