This copycat of McDonald’s Steak, Egg & Cheese sandwich features tender seasoned steak, fluffy scrambled egg, and melted cheese on a soft sandwich bun — perfect for a hearty breakfast.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 oz thinly sliced steak (such as sirloin or ribeye)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 slice American cheese
  • 1 sandwich bun (English muffin, biscuit, or regular bun)
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Season the steak slices with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the steak for 2–3 minutes per side until browned and cooked through. Remove and keep warm.

  4. Toast the sandwich bun lightly.
  5. Assemble the sandwich by layering steak, scrambled egg, and American cheese on the bottom half of the bun.
  6. Top with the other half of the bun and serve warm.
