  • 1 jar pizza sauce, divided
  • 1 tube (13.8 oz) refrigerated pizza dough
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • 2 oz thin-sliced pepperoni (about 1/3 cup)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400ยฐF. In a large non-stick skillet, cook ground beef with 1/2 teaspoon oregano, garlic powder, and kosher salt until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Let beef cool slightly, then stir in 1/3 cup of pizza sauce. Set aside.
  3. Unroll pizza dough onto a baking sheet and gently stretch into a rectangle.
  4. Spread 1/2 cup pizza sauce down the center of the dough, leaving sides clear.
  5. Layer provolone slices, pepperoni, ground beef mixture, and mozzarella over the sauce.
  6. Cut 1-inch strips down each side of the dough. Fold strips over the filling in a braided pattern.
  7. Brush the dough with melted butter and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and remaining oregano.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Heat remaining pizza sauce for dipping.
  9. Let bread cool for 5 minutes, then slice and serve warm with sauce.
