- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 tablespoon ranch seasoning mix (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking)
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
- 8 slices bacon (optional, for wrapping)
Instructions
- Prep the Chicken: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Using a sharp knife, cut a pocket into each chicken breast, being careful not to slice all the way through.
- Make the Filling: In a medium bowl, mix shredded mozzarella, cream cheese, ranch seasoning, garlic powder, and onion powder until well combined.
- Stuff the Chicken: Spoon the cheese mixture evenly into the pockets of each chicken breast. Secure with toothpicks if needed. Season the outside of the chicken with salt and pepper.
- Optional Bacon Wrap: If using bacon, wrap 2 slices around each stuffed chicken breast, securing with toothpicks.
- Sear the Chicken: Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and sear for 2-3 minutes per side until golden.
- Bake: Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve: Remove toothpicks, garnish with chopped parsley if desired, and serve hot.
Notes
- For a crispier exterior, broil the chicken for 1-2 minutes after baking (watch closely to avoid burning).
