Ingredients

Scale
  • For the Brownie Layer:

    • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted

    • 1 ¼ cups granulated sugar

    • 3 large eggs

    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    • ½ cup all-purpose flour

    • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

    • ¼ teaspoon salt

    • 1 teaspoon baking powder

    • ¼ cup milk

    For the Cheesecake Layer:

    • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

    • ½ cup granulated sugar

    • 1 large egg

    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    For the Caramel Layer:

    • 1 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)

    • ½ cup heavy cream

    • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter

    For Topping:

    • 4 Milky Way candy bars, chopped into small pieces

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Brownie Layer:

    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or non-stick spray.

    • In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar until smooth.

    • Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.

    • Stir in the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Gradually add the milk and mix until just combined.

    • Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it out evenly.

  2. Prepare the Cheesecake Layer:

    • In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar together until smooth and creamy.

    • Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.

    • Carefully spread the cheesecake mixture over the brownie layer, smoothing it out evenly with a spatula.

  3. Bake the Layers:

    • Bake the combined layers in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. The cheesecake should be set, and the brownies should be fudgy.

    • Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.

  4. Prepare the Caramel Sauce:

    • In a small saucepan, combine the caramel sauce, heavy cream, and butter. Heat over low to medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture is smooth and heated through.

    • Remove from heat and allow the caramel sauce to cool slightly.

  5. Assemble and Top:

    • Once the brownies have cooled, pour the caramel sauce over the top, spreading it out evenly.

    • Sprinkle the chopped Milky Way candy bars evenly over the caramel layer.

  6. Chill and Serve:

    • Refrigerate the brownies for at least 2 hours to allow the caramel to set.

    • Slice into squares and enjoy the indulgent, layered goodness of Milky Way Caramel Cheesecake Brownies!

Notes

  • You can substitute homemade caramel sauce for store-bought if you prefer.

  • For an extra indulgent touch, you can drizzle more caramel sauce on top of the brownies before serving.

  • If you don’t have Milky Way candy bars, you can use other caramel-filled chocolate bars like Snickers or Twix.
