Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1 tablespoon coffee liqueur (optional)
  • 2024 ladyfingers
  • 1/4 cup caramel sauce, plus extra for drizzling
  • Cocoa powder, for dusting
  • Chocolate shavings (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream to soft peaks. In another bowl, mix mascarpone, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  2. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until combined and creamy.
  3. In a shallow dish, stir together the cooled coffee and coffee liqueur (if using).
  4. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, being careful not to soak them too long.
  5. Line the bottom of a 9×9-inch baking dish with a layer of dipped ladyfingers.
  6. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
  7. Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and the remaining mascarpone cream.
  8. Drizzle caramel sauce generously over the top layer.
  9. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
  10. Before serving, dust with cocoa powder and garnish with chocolate shavings, if desired.

Notes

  • For stronger coffee flavor, use espresso instead of regular brewed coffee.
  • Add an extra drizzle of caramel sauce when serving for a stunning presentation.
  • This dessert tastes even better after sitting overnight!
