Ingredients
Scale
For the Meat Patties:
- 1 lb ground beef (or your preferred meat)
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for frying)
For the Pan-Fried Potatoes:
- 3–4 medium potatoes (peeled and cut into cubes)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)
Instructions
- Make the Meat Patties:
- In a bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Form the mixture into small meatballs, about 1-2 inches in diameter. Then, flatten them into small patties.
- Cook the Meat Patties:
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the meat patties in batches and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 160°F for ground beef).
- Remove the patties from the skillet and set them aside on a plate, keeping them warm.
- Pan-Fry the Potatoes:
- In the same skillet, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil and heat over medium-high heat. Add the diced potatoes and season with paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Cook the potatoes, stirring occasionally, for 10-12 minutes, or until they are crispy and golden brown on all sides.
- Once the potatoes are cooked, remove them from the skillet and set them aside.
- Serve:
- Plate the mini meat patties alongside the pan-fried potatoes. Garnish with fresh parsley for a touch of color and flavor.
- Serve with a side of your favorite dipping sauce or a fresh salad.
Notes
- You can substitute the ground beef with ground turkey, chicken, or lamb for a different flavor.
- For an extra crispy texture, you can let the potatoes rest on a paper towel for a minute before serving to absorb any excess oil.
- Feel free to add some vegetables (like bell peppers or onions) to the skillet while frying the potatoes for extra flavor and color.
