Description

These Mini Meat Patties with Pan-Fried Potatoes are a simple and satisfying meal, featuring juicy, flavorful meat patties paired with crispy, golden-brown potatoes. This easy recipe is perfect for a hearty weeknight dinner or weekend family meal.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Meat Patties:

  • 1 lb ground beef (or your preferred meat)
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for frying)

For the Pan-Fried Potatoes:

  • 34 medium potatoes (peeled and cut into cubes)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Make the Meat Patties:
    • In a bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
    • Form the mixture into small meatballs, about 1-2 inches in diameter. Then, flatten them into small patties.
  2. Cook the Meat Patties:
    • Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the meat patties in batches and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 160°F for ground beef).
    • Remove the patties from the skillet and set them aside on a plate, keeping them warm.
  3. Pan-Fry the Potatoes:
    • In the same skillet, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil and heat over medium-high heat. Add the diced potatoes and season with paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
    • Cook the potatoes, stirring occasionally, for 10-12 minutes, or until they are crispy and golden brown on all sides.
    • Once the potatoes are cooked, remove them from the skillet and set them aside.
  4. Serve:
    • Plate the mini meat patties alongside the pan-fried potatoes. Garnish with fresh parsley for a touch of color and flavor.
    • Serve with a side of your favorite dipping sauce or a fresh salad.

Notes

  • You can substitute the ground beef with ground turkey, chicken, or lamb for a different flavor.
  • For an extra crispy texture, you can let the potatoes rest on a paper towel for a minute before serving to absorb any excess oil.
  • Feel free to add some vegetables (like bell peppers or onions) to the skillet while frying the potatoes for extra flavor and color.
