Description

This Mint Chocolate Fudge is a creamy, indulgent treat that perfectly balances the rich chocolate flavor with refreshing mint. It’s simple to make and is an irresistible dessert for any mint chocolate lover!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp peppermint extract
  • 1/4 cup crushed peppermint candies or mint chocolate pieces (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Pan:
Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang to make it easier to remove the fudge once it’s set.
  • Melt the Chocolate:
In a medium saucepan, combine the chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk over low heat. Stir continuously until the chocolate is fully melted and the mixture is smooth.
  • Add Flavors:
Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the vanilla and peppermint extracts, ensuring that they’re well combined.
  • Pour the Mixture:
Pour the melted chocolate mixture into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly with a spatula to ensure it’s smooth.
  • Add Toppings:
Sprinkle crushed peppermint candies or mint chocolate pieces on top of the fudge. Gently press them into the fudge to ensure they stick.
  • Refrigerate:
Place the pan in the refrigerator and chill for at least 2 hours or until the fudge is firm.
  • Cut and Serve:
Remove the fudge from the pan using the parchment paper overhang. Cut into squares and enjoy!

Notes

  • Storage: Store the fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
  • Customization: If you like a stronger mint flavor, you can increase the amount of peppermint extract slightly.
  • Topping Options: You can also use crushed chocolate mints or mini chocolate chips as toppings for added texture and flavor.
