Description

These Momma’s Easy No Yeast Dinner Rolls are soft, fluffy, and made without any yeast, making them perfect for a quick and easy bread side dish. Perfect for busy weeknights or holiday meals!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (for a touch of sweetness)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Mix the Dry Ingredients:
    • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar until fully combined.
  3. Add Wet Ingredients:
    • In a separate bowl, combine the milk, melted butter, and beaten egg. If you’re adding honey or maple syrup, stir it into the wet ingredients now.
  4. Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients:
    • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir with a spoon or spatula until just combined. Do not overmix; it’s okay if the dough is a little lumpy.
  5. Form the Rolls:
    • Scoop spoonfuls of dough and roll them into small balls (about 1-2 tablespoons of dough per roll). Place them closely together in the prepared baking dish.
  6. Bake the Rolls:
    • Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the tops of the rolls are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Serve:
    • Let the rolls cool slightly, then serve warm. Optionally, brush with a little melted butter on top for extra flavor.

Notes

  • These rolls are best served fresh, but they can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave before serving.
  • For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of garlic powder, onion powder, or dried herbs to the dough mixture.
  • These rolls are perfect for pairing with soups, stews, or a holiday dinner!
