Description

Mozzarella Biscuit Bombs are the ultimate cheesy snack or appetizer! Flaky, buttery biscuits are stuffed with gooey mozzarella cheese and baked to perfection. These cheesy bites are easy to make and perfect for dipping in marinara sauce or enjoying on their own. Ideal for game nights, parties, or as a quick snack for cheese lovers!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

  • Marinara sauce, for dipping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven:

    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the biscuit dough:

    • Open the can of biscuit dough and separate the biscuits. Flatten each biscuit into a small round with your hands or a rolling pin, making it about 3 inches wide.
  3. Stuff the biscuits:

    • Place about 1-2 tablespoons of shredded mozzarella cheese in the center of each flattened biscuit. Pinch the edges of the dough together to seal the cheese inside, forming a ball. Make sure the cheese is completely enclosed.
  4. Arrange on the baking sheet:

    • Place the sealed biscuit bombs onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 1-2 inches apart.
  5. Brush with butter and seasonings:

    • Brush the tops of the biscuit bombs with melted butter. Sprinkle with garlic powder, oregano, and red pepper flakes (if using) for extra flavor.
  6. Bake:

    • Bake the mozzarella biscuit bombs in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Serve:

    • Remove from the oven and let cool for a minute before serving. Serve with marinara sauce for dipping, if desired.

Notes

  • You can add some cooked sausage, pepperoni, or spinach inside the biscuit bombs along with the mozzarella for added flavor.
  • For a cheesy twist, you can mix in some Parmesan or cheddar cheese with the mozzarella.

  • If you prefer a crispy bottom, you can place the biscuit bombs directly on the oven rack for the last 5 minutes of baking.
