- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 1/2 cups crushed Ritz crackers
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Place chicken breasts in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- In a bowl, mix together softened cream cheese, cream of chicken soup, and sour cream until smooth.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the chicken breasts.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
- In a separate bowl, combine crushed Ritz crackers with melted butter. Sprinkle the cracker mixture evenly over the cheese layer.
- Bake uncovered for 45-50 minutes, until chicken is cooked through and topping is golden brown.
- Let rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- Use softened cream cheese for easier mixing.
- Adding a dash of paprika to the cracker topping adds a nice color and flavor.
