Ingredients

  • 1 package (14.3 oz) Oreo cookies, crushed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping (like Cool Whip), thawed
  • 2 packages (3.9 oz each) instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 3 cups cold milk
  • Additional crushed Oreos or chocolate shavings for topping (optional)


Instructions

  1. Crush Oreos in a food processor or place in a zip-top bag and crush with a rolling pin. Reserve 1/2 cup for topping, if desired.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix crushed Oreos (excluding the reserved portion) with melted butter until well combined. Press into the bottom of a 9×13-inch dish to form the crust. Chill for 10 minutes.
  3. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth and fluffy. Fold in half of the whipped topping. Spread over the Oreo crust.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together pudding mixes and cold milk until thickened, about 2 minutes. Spread over the cream cheese layer.
  5. Top with the remaining whipped topping and smooth it out evenly.
  6. Sprinkle reserved crushed Oreos or chocolate shavings on top.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours (or overnight) before serving to allow layers to set.
