Description

Nun’s Puffs are soft, puffed pastries that are perfect for breakfast or dessert. With a golden, crispy exterior and a light, airy interior, these puffs are usually served warm with honey, whipped cream, or fresh fruit.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 stick butter (½ cup)

  • 1 cup milk

  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour

  • 4 eggs

  • ½1 Tablespoon sugar (optional)

  • Sugar for sprinkling

  • Honey for serving

  • Whipped cream/fruit (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a muffin pan thoroughly.

  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat. Add the milk and bring to a low boil.

  3. Add the flour all at once and stir vigorously until a dough forms into a ball.

  4. Cool the dough for 5 minutes.

  5. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing until the dough is smooth after each addition.

  6. Divide the dough into muffin cups. Sprinkle with sugar.

  7. Bake for 30 minutes until golden and puffed.

  8. Serve warm with honey, whipped cream, or fruit, as desired.

Notes

  • You can adjust the sweetness by increasing or decreasing the sugar based on your preference.

  • Serve immediately for the best texture, as they tend to deflate as they cool.
