Description

Indulge in these decadent Nutella-Stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookies, where rich chocolate chip dough envelops a gooey Nutella center. Perfect for satisfying your sweet cravings!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • Nutella (about 1 tablespoon per cookie)

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Cream Butter and Sugars: In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).
  • Add Eggs and Vanilla: Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract until well combined.
  • Mix Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and a pinch of salt.
  • Form Cookie Dough: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until a soft cookie dough forms. Then, fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Prepare Nutella Centers: Scoop about 1 tablespoon of Nutella for each cookie and place these spoonfuls on a small baking sheet or plate. Freeze for at least 15 minutes to firm up.
  • Assemble Cookies: Take a small portion of the cookie dough, flatten it in your hand, and place a frozen spoonful of Nutella in the center. Fold the dough around the Nutella to fully enclose it, forming a ball. Repeat this process for all the cookies.
  • Bake: Arrange the stuffed cookie dough balls on the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. The centers should still be soft.
  • Cool & Serve: Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Enjoy warm for the best gooey experience!

Notes

  • Chill the Dough: For the best results, chill the cookie dough for 30 minutes before baking to help the cookies hold their shape.
  • Nutella Storage: Make a batch of Nutella-filled cookie dough balls and freeze them for later. Bake straight from the freezer, adding 2-3 extra minutes to the baking time.
