Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 tablespoons Hershey’s cocoa
  • 1 stick (1/2 cup) salted butter
  • 5-ounce can of Carnation evaporated milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Nuts (optional)

Instructions

  • Mix Ingredients: In a saucepan, combine the sugar and cocoa powder.
  • Add Butter and Milk: Add the stick of butter and the can of evaporated milk. Stir until the mixture begins to boil.
  • Cook: Stir continuously for 7 minutes.
  • Add Vanilla: Remove from heat and add the vanilla extract. Stir the mixture continuously for another 3 minutes.
  • Set the Fudge: Pour the fudge into a buttered baking dish and allow it to set.

Notes

For an added crunch, mix in chopped nuts before pouring into the baking dish.
