Old School Pizza Burgers are a nostalgic and delicious twist on a classic burger, combining juicy beef patties with a zesty marinara sauce, melted mozzarella, and pepperoni. It’s a fun, easy-to-make meal that brings the flavors of pizza and burgers together in perfect harmony!

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni
- 4 hamburger buns
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for toasting buns)
Instructions
- Preheat your grill or stovetop pan over medium heat.
- In a bowl, combine the ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, and pepper. Form the mixture into 4 patties.
- Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
- During the last minute of cooking, spoon marinara sauce over each patty and top with shredded mozzarella cheese and pepperoni slices. Cover and let the cheese melt.
- While the burgers are cooking, heat olive oil in a separate pan over medium heat and toast the hamburger buns until golden brown.
- Place the cooked patties on the toasted buns, then serve immediately and enjoy your pizza burgers!
Notes
- Feel free to customize the toppings with other pizza ingredients, such as olives, mushrooms, or bell peppers.
- To make it extra cheesy, add extra mozzarella or Parmesan on top of the sauce.
- For a spicy twist, add red pepper flakes to the marinara sauce.
