- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)
- 4 slices of bread (preferably sourdough or your choice)
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the bread slices on a baking sheet.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the green olives, black olives, mozzarella cheese, cheddar cheese, cream cheese, mayonnaise, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir until well combined.
- Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread. Place the buttered side down on the baking sheet.
- Spoon the olive and cheese mixture generously on top of each slice of bread.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10–12 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the edges of the bread are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle with fresh parsley, if desired. Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add chopped roasted red peppers or a pinch of red pepper flakes to the olive mixture.
- These melts can be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge for up to a day before baking.
- If you prefer, you can use a different cheese like Gouda or Parmesan for a different taste profile.
