Description

Juicy chicken breasts cooked in a creamy, herby Boursin cheese sauce, all made in one pan for easy cleanup and delicious flavor.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 (5.2 oz) package Boursin garlic & herb cheese
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and dried thyme.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and sear until golden brown on both sides, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove chicken and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Pour in chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the pan.
  5. Reduce heat to medium and stir in Boursin cheese and heavy cream. Stir until cheese is melted and sauce is smooth.
  6. Return chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over the top.
  7. Cover and simmer for 8-10 minutes until chicken is cooked through.
  8. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Serve with steamed vegetables or mashed potatoes to soak up the sauce.
  • Use cream cheese with added herbs if Boursin is unavailable.
  • For extra flavor, add sautéed mushrooms or spinach to the sauce.
