Description
Juicy chicken breasts cooked in a creamy, herby Boursin cheese sauce, all made in one pan for easy cleanup and delicious flavor.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 (5.2 oz) package Boursin garlic & herb cheese
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and dried thyme.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and sear until golden brown on both sides, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove chicken and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the pan.
- Reduce heat to medium and stir in Boursin cheese and heavy cream. Stir until cheese is melted and sauce is smooth.
- Return chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over the top.
- Cover and simmer for 8-10 minutes until chicken is cooked through.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- Serve with steamed vegetables or mashed potatoes to soak up the sauce.
- Use cream cheese with added herbs if Boursin is unavailable.
- For extra flavor, add sautéed mushrooms or spinach to the sauce.
