Description

This One-Pan Creamy Lemon Caper Butter Salmon is a flavorful, easy-to-make dish perfect for a quick weeknight dinner. The rich lemon caper butter sauce adds a tangy kick to the tender salmon. Serve it with your favorite sides for a complete meal!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

For the creamy lemon caper butter sauce:

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons capers, drained and rinsed
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease with olive oil.
  2. Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Bake the salmon for 12-15 minutes, or until cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  4. While the salmon is baking, make the creamy lemon caper butter sauce: In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Stir in the capers, lemon juice, and lemon zest, and cook for another minute. Add the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir the sauce until it thickens slightly, about 2-3 minutes.
  6. Remove the sauce from heat and set aside.
  7. Once the salmon is cooked, remove it from the oven and drizzle with the creamy lemon caper butter sauce. Garnish with fresh parsley.
  8. Serve immediately with your favorite sides, like roasted vegetables or rice.

Notes

  • You can substitute the salmon with other fish, such as trout or tilapia.
  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce for a subtle heat.
  • This dish pairs well with a light salad or steamed asparagus.
