Description
Refreshing and sweet, this Orange Crush Sherbet is made with the popular soda, orange juice, and creamy ingredients for a cool, tangy treat. Perfect for a summer dessert or any time you crave a citrusy, creamy delight!
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups Orange Crush soda (or similar orange soda)
- 1 ½ cups heavy cream
- 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup fresh orange juice
- 2 tsp orange zest (optional for extra citrus flavor)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream, sweetened condensed milk, and fresh orange juice. Whisk until smooth and well incorporated.
- Gradually add in the Orange Crush soda and gently stir to combine. Be careful not to stir too vigorously to avoid losing the fizz.
- If using, fold in the orange zest for added citrus flavor.
- Pour the mixture into a freezer-safe container or shallow dish and cover with plastic wrap or a tight-fitting lid.
- Freeze for at least 4-6 hours, or until the sherbet is firm and scoopable.
- Before serving, let the sherbet sit at room temperature for a few minutes to soften slightly for easier scooping.
Notes
- You can adjust the sweetness by adding more or less sweetened condensed milk based on your preference.
- For a creamier texture, blend the mixture before freezing for a smoother consistency.
- For extra flavor, try adding a splash of vanilla extract or a pinch of salt to balance the sweetness.
