Description

This Oreo Banana Bread combines the beloved flavors of ripe bananas and crunchy Oreo cookies, creating a deliciously moist and decadent loaf. Perfect for breakfast or as a sweet afternoon snack, this treat is sure to please any dessert lover!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup (150g) granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 12 Oreo cookies, roughly chopped
  • ½ cup (85g) mini chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set this dry mixture aside.
  • In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • Mix in the mashed bananas and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix the batter.
  • Gently fold in the chopped Oreo cookies and mini chocolate chips (if using) until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula. Optionally, press a few extra Oreo pieces into the top of the batter for decoration.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 55-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the bread comes out clean.
  • Let the banana bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Slice and enjoy your delicious Oreo Banana Bread!

Notes

  • For extra chocolate flavor, feel free to add more mini chocolate chips.
  • Make sure the bananas are very ripe for the best sweetness and flavor.
