Ingredients
-
1 package (15.25 oz) Oreo cookies (divided)
-
1/4 cup butter (melted)
-
1 package (8 oz) cream cheese (softened)
-
1/4 cup powdered sugar
-
2 cups heavy whipping cream
-
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
-
1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
-
2 cups cold milk
-
1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
-
1. Prepare the Oreo Crust:
-
In a food processor or blender, crush 1/2 of the Oreo cookies (about 14-16 cookies) into fine crumbs.
-
In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreos with the melted butter. Stir until well combined.
-
Press the Oreo mixture into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish to form an even crust. Place the dish in the refrigerator to set while you prepare the other layers.
2. Make the Cream Cheese Layer:
-
In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
-
In a separate bowl, whip the heavy whipping cream and vanilla extract together until stiff peaks form.
-
Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until combined. Spread this mixture evenly over the chilled Oreo crust.
3. Prepare the Pudding Layer:
-
In a separate bowl, whisk the vanilla pudding mix with cold milk for about 2 minutes or until the pudding thickens.
-
Spread the pudding mixture evenly over the cream cheese layer in the dish.
4. Add the Final Layer:
-
Crush the remaining half of the Oreo cookies and sprinkle them evenly over the top of the pudding layer.
5. Chill the Dessert:
-
Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight, to allow the layers to set and for the flavors to meld together.
6. Serve:
-
Before serving, you can garnish the dessert with chocolate chips or extra crushed Oreos if desired. Slice into squares and enjoy!
