Description

These Pan-Fried Peaches are the ultimate sweet treat with caramelized edges and a rich, buttery flavor. Served with a drizzle of honey and a sprinkle of cinnamon, they make the perfect side dish or dessert for summer!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ripe peaches, pitted and sliced
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar (or honey, if preferred)
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
  • Pinch of salt
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)
  • Honey or maple syrup (optional, for drizzling)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Peaches:
Slice the peaches in half, remove the pits, and cut each half into 3-4 wedges.
  2. Heat the Pan:
Place a large skillet or frying pan over medium heat. Add the butter and let it melt completely.
  3. Cook the Peaches:
Once the butter has melted, add the peach slices to the pan in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes without stirring to allow the peaches to caramelize slightly.
Flip the peaches over and sprinkle the brown sugar (or honey) and cinnamon over the top. Continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes, flipping occasionally, until the peaches are tender and slightly golden with caramelized edges.
  4. Add Vanilla (optional):
If using, drizzle the vanilla extract over the peaches and stir gently to combine.
  5. Serve and Enjoy:
Remove the pan from the heat and transfer the peaches to a serving dish. Drizzle with honey or maple syrup if desired and garnish with fresh mint leaves. Serve warm as a dessert or side dish.

Notes

  • These pan-fried peaches are delicious served over vanilla ice cream, yogurt, or pancakes.
  • For an extra touch of flavor, you can sprinkle the peaches with chopped nuts (like pecans or almonds) after cooking.
  • If you prefer a less sweet version, reduce or omit the sugar and opt for a touch of lemon juice instead.
