Description
Grilled corn on the cob is brushed with a rich garlic butter, sprinkled with Parmesan cheese, and garnished with fresh parsley. A simple yet flavorful side dish perfect for summer grilling.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 fresh corn ears
- 4 tablespoons (60 grams) unsalted butter
- 2 garlic cloves, peeled and minced or grated
- A pinch of salt
- Black pepper to taste, freshly ground
- 1 ounce (28 grams) grated Parmesan cheese
- Chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Preheat the Grill: Heat your grill to a temperature between 350-400˚F.
- Prepare the Corn: Peel away most of the husks from the corn, leaving the inner layer. Fold the husks back to remove the silk, then return them over the corn.
- Grill the Corn: Place the prepared corn on the preheated grill. Turn occasionally until the kernels become vibrant yellow, about 15-20 minutes.
- Prepare the Garlic Butter: In a small, heat-resistant bowl, melt the butter in the microwave for about 30 seconds to 1 minute. Mix in the minced garlic, salt, and pepper with the melted butter.
- Finish the Corn: Once the corn is grilled, remove the remaining husks. Brush the hot corn with the garlic butter mixture. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley.
- Serve: Enjoy the corn immediately for the best flavor.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the garlic butter.
- Try different herbs like thyme or basil if you prefer.
- You can use other hard cheeses like Pecorino Romano instead of Parmesan.
