Instructions

  • Cook the Base Mixture: In a medium saucepan, combine evaporated milk, granulated sugar, and salt. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture comes to a rolling boil. Continue boiling for 4-5 minutes, stirring frequently, until the mixture thickens slightly.
  • Melt the Chocolate: Remove the saucepan from heat and quickly stir in the semi-sweet chocolate chips. Stir vigorously until the chocolate chips are completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
  • Pour and Set: Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
  • Let It Set: Allow the fudge to cool at room temperature until set, or place it in the refrigerator for faster setting (about 1-2 hours).
