Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent dough sheets
  • 1 ½ cups fresh peaches, peeled and diced
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Optional: 1/4 cup powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 12-cup muffin tin or line with paper liners.
  2. Make the peach filling: In a medium saucepan, combine peaches, sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, cinnamon, and salt. Cook over medium heat until the mixture thickens and becomes bubbly, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. Prepare the dough: Unroll the crescent dough sheets and cut each sheet into 6 strips.
  4. Assemble the Cruffins: Layer 2-3 strips of dough in each muffin cup, creating a criss-cross pattern. Gently press the dough down into the bottom and sides of the cup.
  5. Fill with peach mixture: Spoon about 1-2 tablespoons of the peach filling into each dough-lined muffin cup.
  6. Top with more dough: Layer more dough strips over the peach filling, criss-crossing them to cover the filling.
  7. Egg wash: Brush the top of the dough with a beaten egg for a golden finish.
  8. Bake for 18-22 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and crispy.
  9. Cool and dust: Let the Cruffins cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar, if desired.

Notes

  • These can be stored at room temperature for up to 2 days, but they’re best served fresh.
  • Try adding a drizzle of vanilla glaze for extra sweetness.
  • You can substitute the peaches with other fruits like berries or apples.
  • If you’re using frozen peaches, make sure to thaw and drain them well before using.
