Description

These Peanut Butter Balls with Chocolate Rice Krispies are the ultimate sweet and salty treat! With a creamy peanut butter center, a crunchy chocolate Rice Krispies coating, and a hint of sweetness, these no-bake treats are perfect for satisfying any craving.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup peanut butter (creamy or crunchy)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil (optional, to smooth the chocolate)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, mix the peanut butter and softened butter until smooth and creamy.
  2. Gradually add the powdered sugar to the peanut butter mixture, stirring until fully combined and the mixture is thick.
  3. Fold in the Rice Krispies cereal until evenly coated.
  4. Using your hands or a spoon, form the peanut butter mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter. Place the balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. In a heatproof bowl, melt the chocolate chips with the vegetable oil (if using) in the microwave, stirring every 20-30 seconds until smooth and melted.
  6. Dip each peanut butter ball into the melted chocolate, covering it completely. Return the chocolate-covered balls to the parchment-lined sheet.
  7. Once all the balls are dipped, refrigerate for 30 minutes to an hour, or until the chocolate has set.
  8. Serve and enjoy these delicious peanut butter balls with a crunchy chocolate coating!

Notes

  • You can use milk chocolate or dark chocolate instead of semisweet chocolate chips for a different flavor.
  • If you want to make these more festive, you can sprinkle some colored sprinkles on top before the chocolate sets.
  • These peanut butter balls can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
