Ingredients
Scale
For the Brownie Base:
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
For the Peanut Butter Topping:
- ¾ cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream (or milk)
For the Chocolate Drizzle:
- ½ cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream
For Garnish:
- Crushed peanuts (optional)
- Chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 12-inch pizza pan or line it with parchment paper.
- Prepare the Brownie Base:
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until well combined.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pizza pan, spreading it evenly to the edges.
- Bake the Brownie:
- Bake the brownie base for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean (a few moist crumbs are fine). Allow the brownie to cool completely in the pan.
- Prepare the Peanut Butter Topping:
- In a medium bowl, mix together the peanut butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and heavy cream. Stir until smooth and creamy. If the mixture is too thick, add a little more cream or milk to reach your desired consistency.
- Prepare the Chocolate Drizzle:
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and heavy cream. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until the chocolate is melted and smooth. Set aside to cool slightly.
- Assemble the Peanut Butter Brownie Pizza:
- Once the brownie has cooled, spread the peanut butter mixture evenly over the top of the brownie base, covering the entire surface.
- Drizzle the chocolate sauce over the peanut butter layer, creating a swirl pattern or drizzling it evenly.
- Garnish and Serve:
- Optionally, sprinkle crushed peanuts and additional chocolate chips over the top for extra texture and flavor.
- Slice into wedges, just like a pizza, and serve!
Notes
- If you prefer a thicker or thinner topping, feel free to adjust the amount of peanut butter or powdered sugar used in the topping.
- You can also substitute the peanut butter with almond butter or another nut butter of your choice for a different twist.
- For extra indulgence, top with whipped cream or ice cream when serving.
