Description

These Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie Cups are the perfect combination of creamy peanut butter and sweet, melty chocolate chips. With a soft and chewy cookie base, these bite-sized treats are filled with a delicious peanut butter surprise in the center, making them the ultimate indulgence for dessert lovers. They’re easy to make, irresistibly delicious, and sure to satisfy any sweet tooth!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. Prepare the dough: In a large bowl, beat together the peanut butter, softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy and smooth. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  3. Mix the dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until combined.
  4. Form the cookie cups: Scoop about 1 tablespoon of dough into each muffin cup. Press down gently in the center to make a small indent.
  5. Add the chocolate chips: Place about 1 tablespoon of chocolate chips in the center of each cookie dough cup.
  6. Bake: Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and the cookie cups have set. The centers may look slightly soft, but they will firm up as they cool.
  7. Cool and serve: Allow the cookie cups to cool in the muffin tin for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Once cooled, dust with powdered sugar, if desired, and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a nuttier flavor, add chopped peanuts or crushed pretzels to the cookie dough.
  • If you prefer a richer peanut butter flavor, increase the amount of peanut butter in the dough.
  • You can substitute the chocolate chips with mini peanut butter cups for an extra indulgent treat.
  • Make sure to let the cookie cups cool in the pan before transferring to avoid breaking them apart.
