Description
Peanut Butter Cup French Toast Rolls are a decadent breakfast or brunch treat filled with melty peanut butter cups, rolled in soft bread, dipped in cinnamon egg batter, and pan-fried to golden perfection. They’re like dessert for breakfast—irresistibly gooey and indulgent.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 slices soft white bread, crusts removed
- 8 mini peanut butter cups (or chopped full-size ones)
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (optional)
- 2 tablespoons butter (for frying)
- Powdered sugar or chocolate syrup for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Use a rolling pin to flatten each slice of bread.
- Place a peanut butter cup (or a small spoonful of chopped cups) on one end of the bread and roll it up tightly, sealing the edge.
- In a shallow bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.
- Heat butter in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
- Dip each roll into the egg mixture, coating all sides, and place them seam-side down in the skillet.
- Cook for 2–3 minutes per side, turning to brown all sides evenly.
- Remove from pan and roll in granulated sugar if desired. Garnish with powdered sugar or chocolate drizzle and serve warm.
Notes
- Use soft sandwich bread for easiest rolling.
- These are best served fresh, but you can prep the rolls ahead and refrigerate before dipping and cooking.
- Try other fillings like Nutella, jam, or marshmallow spread for fun variations.
