Description

These Peanut Butter & Pumpkin Pup Donuts are the perfect treat for your furry friend! Made with wholesome ingredients like pumpkin, peanut butter, and oats, theyโ€™re healthy, easy to make, and sure to make your pupโ€™s tail wag with joy!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling)

  • 1/4 cup peanut butter (unsweetened and xylitol-free)

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats

  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour (or oat flour for a gluten-free option)

  • 1 egg

  • 1/4 cup low-sodium chicken broth (or water)

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional, for added flavor)

Instructions

    1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Grease a mini donut pan or line it with parchment paper.

    2. Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, peanut butter, egg, and chicken broth. Stir until well combined.

    3. Add Dry Ingredients: Slowly add the rolled oats, whole wheat flour, and cinnamon (if using) to the wet ingredients. Mix until a thick dough forms.

    4. Fill the Donut Pan: Spoon the dough into the donut pan, filling each cavity about 3/4 full. Press the dough down gently to smooth the tops.

    5. Bake the Donuts: Bake for 15-18 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

    6. Cool: Let the donuts cool completely before serving them to your dog.

Optional Decoration:

Once the donuts have cooled, you can drizzle a small amount of extra peanut butter on top or use a dog-safe icing to decorate them for a special touch.

Notes

  • Make sure the peanut butter you use is free from xylitol, which is toxic to dogs.

  • If your dog has any allergies or dietary restrictions, make sure to check the ingredients for any possible allergens.

  • These donuts can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week at room temperature, or refrigerated for up to two weeks.

  • If your pup prefers chewy treats, you can bake the dough into small bite-sized cookies instead of donuts.
