Description
Pear Honey is a sweet and fragrant syrup made by simmering ripe pears with honey. It’s perfect as a natural sweetener for tea, desserts, or drizzling over pancakes.

- 4 ripe pears, peeled, cored, and chopped
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Place chopped pears, water, and lemon juice in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
- Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20-25 minutes, until pears are soft.
- Use a blender or immersion blender to puree the cooked pears until smooth.
- Return the puree to the saucepan and stir in honey.
- Simmer on low heat for another 10 minutes, stirring frequently until syrup thickens slightly.
- Remove from heat and let cool.
- Strain the syrup through a fine mesh sieve to remove any pulp if desired.
- Transfer to a clean jar and refrigerate. Use within 2 weeks.
