Description

A luscious and creamy pecan pie featuring a rich cream cheese filling, topped with a sweet pecan caramel layer, all nestled in a buttery graham cracker crust. Perfect for any special occasion!

Ingredients

Scale

For the crust:

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

For the pecan cream filling:

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup pecans, chopped and toasted

For the pecan topping:

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped and toasted

Instructions

  • For the crust: In a medium bowl, mix together graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter until combined. Press the mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie dish. Refrigerate for 30 minutes to set.
  • For the pecan cream filling: In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until fully combined. Stir in the toasted pecans. Spread the filling into the prepared pie crust and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  • For the pecan topping: In a small saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar over medium heat, stirring until smooth. Add the heavy cream and bring the mixture to a gentle boil for 1-2 minutes. Stir in the toasted pecans and let the mixture cool slightly before pouring it over the chilled pie.
  • Refrigerate the pie for an additional 1 hour before serving, allowing the pecan topping to set.

Notes

  • Toasting the pecans enhances their flavor; be careful not to over-toast them.
  • Allow the pie to chill sufficiently for the best texture and flavor.
