For the Dark Chocolate Layer:

- 12 oz white chocolate, chopped (or white chocolate chips)
- 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract (optional)
For the Topping:
- 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies or candy canes
Instructions
- Prepare a Baking Sheet:
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- Melt the Dark Chocolate:
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the dark chocolate in 30-second increments, stirring in between, until smooth. Alternatively, melt using a double boiler.
- Stir in 1/4 teaspoon of peppermint extract if using.
- Create the Dark Chocolate Layer:
- Pour the melted dark chocolate onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it evenly to about 1/4-inch thickness.
- Chill in the fridge for 20 minutes to set.
- Melt the White Chocolate:
- Melt the white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl or using a double boiler. Stir in the remaining 1/4 teaspoon of peppermint extract if using.
- Add the White Chocolate Layer:
- Remove the baking sheet with the dark chocolate from the fridge.
- Pour the melted white chocolate over the dark chocolate layer and spread evenly.
- Sprinkle the crushed peppermint candies or candy canes over the white chocolate.
- Chill the Bark:
- Refrigerate for about 30 minutes to allow the peppermint bark to fully set.
- Break into Pieces:
- Once set, break into pieces by hand or using a knife.
