Description

This delicious Philly Cheesesteak Crescent Ring combines savory shaved steak, colorful peppers, and melted provolone cheese, all wrapped in flaky crescent rolls. It’s perfect for parties, game day, or a cozy family dinner!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 14 ounces shaved steak
  • 2 tablespoons salted butter
  • 1 small sweet onion, diced
  • 1 small green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 small red bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Montreal steak seasoning
  • 16 ounces (2 tubes) crescent rolls
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded provolone cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • Splash of water
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a large sheet tray with parchment paper.
  • Cook steak: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add vegetable oil. Once hot, add shaved steak and stir until golden brown on both sides (about 8 minutes). Set aside.
  • Sauté vegetables: In the same skillet, melt butter. Add onion, green bell pepper, red bell pepper, and cook until softened (about 8 minutes). Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  • Combine ingredients: Add cooked steak, Worcestershire sauce, and Montreal steak seasoning to the skillet. Stir to combine. Remove from heat.
  • Assemble ring: Place a small bowl in the center of the prepared sheet tray. Form crescent roll triangles into a sunburst shape around the bowl.
  • Fill ring: Spread meat mixture around the inside edge of the crescent rolls. Top with shredded provolone cheese.
  • Close ring: Pull crescent roll triangles over the filling, tucking the tips underneath the base.
  • Make egg wash: In a small bowl, whisk together egg and water.
  • Brush and bake: Brush the outside of the exposed rolls with egg wash. Sprinkle with parsley (optional). Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.

Notes

Allow to cool slightly before slicing to help maintain the shape of the ring.
