Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ribeye steak or flank steak, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, thinly sliced
- 1 small bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 1/2 cups provolone cheese, shredded
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/4 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- Optional: Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
-
Cook the steak:
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the thinly sliced steak and cook until browned and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes. Remove the steak from the skillet and set it aside.
-
Sauté the vegetables:
- In the same skillet, add the sliced onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic. Sauté until the vegetables are softened, about 5 minutes.
-
Make the dip base:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce. Stir until smooth and fully combined.
-
Add the steak and veggies:
- Add the cooked steak and sautéed vegetables into the cream cheese mixture. Stir to combine.
-
Add the cheese:
- Fold in the shredded provolone and mozzarella cheeses. Mix until the cheese is evenly distributed and the mixture is creamy.
-
Bake the dip:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Transfer the dip mixture into a baking dish (such as a 9×9-inch dish or a similar size).
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the dip is bubbly and the cheese is melted and golden on top.
-
Serve:
- Remove the dip from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Optionally, garnish with fresh chopped parsley for added color. Serve warm with baguette slices, tortilla chips, or fresh vegetables for dipping.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add a few dashes of hot sauce or finely chopped jalapeños to the dip mixture.
- If you prefer a leaner version, you can use ground beef or chicken instead of steak.
- The dip can be made ahead and stored in the fridge. When ready to serve, bake until hot and bubbly.
