Description

These Philly Cheesesteak Stuffed Biscuits are a delicious twist on the classic cheesesteak sandwich, combining savory roast beef, melted cheese, and sautéed veggies all tucked into buttery, flaky biscuits. Perfect for a quick dinner or game day snack!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 tablespoons butter, divided
  • 3/4 cup diced onion
  • 3/4 cup diced green bell pepper
  • 1 pound deli roast beef, diced
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 cups grated Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 (16-ounce) can of buttermilk biscuits

Instructions

  • Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a large baking pan with parchment paper. Place the 8 biscuits onto the parchment paper and let them warm up slightly.
  • Make the Philly cheesesteak filling: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the onion and bell pepper and cook until softened, about 5-6 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  • Add roast beef and cheese: Stir in the diced roast beef and cook for 1-2 minutes, or until warmed through. Add the grated Monterey Jack cheese and stir until melted. Remove from heat.
  • Stuff the biscuits: Gently pull apart each biscuit slightly to create a pocket. Fill each biscuit with about 1/4 cup of the beef mixture. Seal the edges by pinching the dough together.
  • Brush with butter: Melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter in a small bowl. Brush the melted butter over the tops of the stuffed biscuits.
  • Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 17-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Serve: Serve warm and enjoy your delicious Philly Cheesesteak Stuffed Biscuits!

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding sautéed mushrooms or a splash of Worcestershire sauce to the filling.
