Description

These Philly Cheesesteak Stuffed Cheesy Breadsticks bring together the flavors of a classic Philly cheesesteak in a fun, cheesy breadstick form. Made with tender steak, provolone cheese, and garlic-infused dough, these breadsticks are perfect for dipping in marinara or queso for a delicious snack or appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb pizza dough, homemade or store-bought
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese (or mozzarella)
  • 1/2 cup thinly sliced beef or steak tips (cooked)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp chili powder (optional, for a slight Tex-Mex touch)
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt, to taste
  • Marinara or cheese sauce (queso), for dipping

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
  • Prepare the Dough: On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a rectangular shape.
  • Add Garlic and Cheese Base: In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil and minced garlic. Brush this mixture evenly over the dough.
  • Layer the Cheese and Beef: Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese and half of the shredded provolone (or mozzarella) over the dough. Then, evenly spread the thinly sliced beef on top. Sprinkle with garlic powder, oregano, and salt to taste.
  • Fold and Cut the Dough: Fold the dough over to cover the fillings and press down lightly. Use a pizza cutter to cut the dough into strips.
  • Twist and Arrange on Baking Sheet: Twist each strip and place it onto the prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle the remaining shredded provolone and chili powder (if using) on top.
  • Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the breadsticks are golden brown and crispy.
  • Serve: Serve warm with marinara sauce or a cheesy queso dip for dipping.

Notes

Feel free to customize the cheese or seasoning to your liking. Freshly grated Parmesan and high-quality provolone will add extra flavor. For added spice, sprinkle with chili flakes or use hot pepper cheese.
