Description

Pineapple Dream Dessert is a refreshing and creamy treat with layers of graham cracker crust, cream cheese filling, pineapple, and Cool Whip. It’s a perfect dessert for summer gatherings, holidays, or any occasion where you want something light, sweet, and tropical. This dessert is easy to prepare and always a crowd-pleaser!

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 2½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted

For the Layers:

  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup Cool Whip (or whipped topping)
  • 1 large can (2½ cups) crushed pineapple, well drained

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 300°F (148°C).
  • Make the Crust: Combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter in a bowl until well mixed. Press 2 cups of the mixture into the bottom of a 9×9 baking dish. Bake the crust for 8-10 minutes or until lightly golden. Remove from the oven and set aside to cool.
  • Prepare the Cream Cheese Layer: In a separate mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and butter until creamy and smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar and continue mixing until well-blended.
  • Spread the Cream Cheese Mixture: Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cooled graham cracker crust, leveling it out with a spatula.
  • Prepare the Pineapple Layer: In another bowl, mix the remaining crushed pineapple (drained) with the Cool Whip. Spread this mixture evenly over the cream cheese layer.
  • Finish with Graham Cracker Mixture: Sprinkle the remaining graham cracker crumbs over the top of the dessert.
  • Refrigerate: Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight for the layers to set and firm up.
  • Serve and Enjoy: Slice the dessert into squares and enjoy!

Notes

  • Be sure to drain the pineapple well to prevent excess moisture that can make the dessert too runny.
  • For a firmer dessert, refrigerate it overnight.
  • You can substitute Cool Whip with homemade whipped cream if you prefer.
