Description

These delicious pizza burgers combine the best of both worlds: juicy beef patties topped with gooey cheese, savory pepperoni, and zesty pizza sauce, all nestled in a toasted bun. Perfect for a fun family dinner or a game day treat!

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1624 slices pepperoni
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 hamburger buns, split and toasted
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  • Prepare the beef: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until evenly distributed.
  • Form patties: Shape the beef mixture into four patties and set aside.
  • Toast buns: Preheat the broiler to medium-high. Place the split buns on a baking sheet and toast them under the broiler until golden brown. Remove the tops and set aside.
  • Grill patties: Grill each patty for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked to your desired level of doneness.
  • Warm pizza sauce: Gently heat the pizza sauce in a saucepan over low heat, stirring occasionally, until warm.
  • Assemble burgers: Spread half of the warm pizza sauce onto the bottom halves of the toasted buns. Distribute half of the mozzarella cheese and pepperoni over the sauce.
  • Broil: Broil the bottom halves of the buns for 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Layer toppings: Top each toasted bottom half with a grilled patty, followed by the remaining pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese, and pepperoni.
  • Broil again: Broil the completed burgers for a few minutes, or until the additional toppings are melted and bubbly.
  • Serve: Place the bun tops on each burger and serve immediately.
