This Pizza Grilled Cheese combines the best of both worlds—crispy, buttery bread with gooey melted cheese and savory pepperoni. Perfect for a quick lunch or dinner, it’s an easy twist on classic comfort food that will satisfy any pizza lover’s cravings.

  • Garlic Butter Spread:
    • ¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
    • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
    • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Sandwich:
    • 4 slices bread
    • ¼ cup pizza sauce (plus more for dipping, if desired)
    • 4 slices mozzarella cheese
    • ¼ cup shredded Parmesan or mozzarella cheese
    • 16 slices pepperoni

Instructions

  • Make the Garlic Butter Spread:
    • In a medium bowl, combine the softened butter, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Stir well to combine and set aside.
  • Assemble the Sandwiches:
    • Lay the slices of bread on a flat surface. Spread 1 tablespoon of pizza sauce in a thin layer on each slice.
    • Place one slice of cheese on each slice of bread. Add 2 tablespoons of shredded cheese to two of the slices.
    • Top the two slices with shredded cheese with 8 pepperoni slices each.
    • Place one piece of bread on top of the other to form a sandwich. Repeat the process with the remaining bread to create a second sandwich.
    • Spread the garlic butter mixture on one side of each sandwich.
  • Cook the Sandwiches:
    • Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Place the buttered side of each sandwich face down in the skillet. Spread the remaining butter mixture on the tops of each sandwich.
    • Cook for 3-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted. Serve immediately.
