Description
Pizza Stuffed Waffle Snacks are crispy, cheesy mini pizza pockets made in a waffle iron! Filled with melty mozzarella, pepperoni, and your favorite pizza sauce, these waffle snacks are kid-friendly, dippable, and perfect for lunchboxes, parties, or anytime cravings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package refrigerated pizza dough or crescent roll dough
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup mini pepperoni or chopped regular pepperoni
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter (for brushing)
Instructions
- Preheat your waffle iron and lightly grease it with cooking spray or oil.
- Roll out pizza dough and cut into even rectangles (about the size of your waffle iron sections).
- On half of the rectangles, spread a spoonful of pizza sauce in the center. Top with mozzarella, pepperoni, and a sprinkle of Italian seasoning.
- Place a second dough rectangle over each and press the edges to seal. Use a fork to crimp the sides if needed.
- Place stuffed dough pockets into the waffle iron and cook for 3–5 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove carefully, brush tops with olive oil or butter, and let cool slightly. Serve with extra pizza sauce for dipping.
Notes
- Customize with your favorite pizza toppings — try mushrooms, sausage, olives, or bell peppers.
- Use crescent roll dough for a flakier result, or biscuit dough for extra fluffiness.
- Make mini versions with smaller pieces of dough for appetizers or party snacks.
- Can be made ahead and reheated in a toaster oven or air fryer.
