- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
- 1 tbsp poppy seeds
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup crushed crackers (such as Ritz crackers)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Place the chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish. Season with salt and pepper.
- In a medium bowl, mix the cream of chicken soup and sour cream until well combined. Pour the mixture over the chicken breasts, spreading it evenly.
- Sprinkle the grated cheddar cheese and poppy seeds over the top of the soup mixture.
- In a separate bowl, combine the melted butter and crushed crackers. Sprinkle the cracker mixture evenly over the top of the chicken and sauce.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and the top is golden and bubbly.
- Let the dish cool for a few minutes before serving. Serve hot.

- For a lighter version, you can use a reduced-fat sour cream and cream of chicken soup.
- Serve this dish with rice, mashed potatoes, or steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
