Description

Praline Crunch is a dangerously addictive snack mix made with crispy cereal, pecans, and a buttery brown sugar glaze. It’s sweet, salty, crunchy, and toasty all in one bite — the perfect treat for the holidays, game day, or anytime you crave something deliciously crunchy.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 cups Crispix cereal (or Chex)
  • 2 cups pecan halves
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 250°F (120°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or foil and lightly grease.
  2. In a large bowl, combine cereal and pecans. Set aside.
  3. In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar and corn syrup. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly for 2 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in baking soda and salt — the mixture will foam up slightly.
  5. Immediately pour the mixture over the cereal and pecans. Gently stir to coat evenly.
  6. Spread mixture onto the prepared baking sheet in an even layer.
  7. Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes to prevent clumps and ensure even coating.
  8. Remove from oven and let cool completely. Break into pieces and store in an airtight container.

Notes

  • Add pretzels, almonds, or cashews for extra variety.
  • Try a drizzle of melted white chocolate over the cooled mix for a festive touch.
  • Package in treat bags or jars for holiday gifting!
  • Lasts up to 2 weeks stored in an airtight container at room temp.
