Ingredients
- 1 package (15 oz) Oreo cookies
- 1 cup pretzels (broken into pieces)
- 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips (for dipping, or white chocolate for a twist)
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil (optional, for thinning the chocolate)
Instructions
-
Prepare the filling:
In a food processor, crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs. Place the crushed Oreos into a large mixing bowl. Add the softened cream cheese and mix until smooth and fully combined. You can use your hands or a spoon to mix. Stir in the pretzel pieces until evenly distributed. -
Form the balls:
Using a spoon or your hands, take small portions of the mixture and roll them into balls (about 1 inch in size). Place the balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet or tray. -
Chill the balls:
Once all the balls are formed, place the tray in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to an hour, or until the balls are firm and chilled. -
Dip in chocolate:
While the balls are chilling, melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted. If you’d like a smoother dip, stir in a tablespoon of vegetable oil. Once melted, dip each chilled ball into the chocolate, covering it completely. You can also drizzle some chocolate over the top for an extra touch. -
Chill again:
Place the chocolate-dipped Oreo balls back on the parchment-lined tray. Return them to the refrigerator for another 15-20 minutes to allow the chocolate to harden. -
Serve and enjoy:
Once the chocolate has set, the Pretzel Oreo Balls are ready to serve! Enjoy these irresistible treats with family and friends.
Notes
- You can use milk chocolate, white chocolate, or even dark chocolate depending on your preference.
- If you prefer a more intense pretzel flavor, you can increase the amount of pretzel pieces in the filling.
- Store the Oreo balls in the fridge for up to a week, or freeze them for longer storage.
