Scale
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp cornstarch
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ¼ tsp baking powder
- ⅛ tsp fine sea salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- ¾ cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Purple gel food coloring (or any color of choice)
- Halloween sprinkles or purple sanding sugar
- 33 Hershey’s Hugs or Kisses, unwrapped
Instructions
- Prepare: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Crush 2-3 Oreos to make crumbs and set aside.
- Melt the Chocolate:
- Melt the white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl by microwaving for 1 minute, stirring, then heating in 15-second intervals until fully melted. Stir well.
- Add orange gel food coloring to the melted chocolate and mix until you achieve the desired color.
- Coat the Oreos:
- Dip each Oreo into the melted orange chocolate, covering both sides. Use a fork to lift the cookie and shake off the excess chocolate.
- Place the coated Oreo on the parchment paper and sprinkle Oreo crumbs on top.
- Add the Pumpkin:
- While the chocolate is still wet, place a Mellowcreme pumpkin candy in the center of each cookie.
- Chill:
- Refrigerate the cookies for 10-15 minutes until the chocolate hardens.
Notes
- Use a high-quality white chocolate for the best melting and coating results.
- The purple gel food coloring can be substituted with other colors for different themes.
