Description

A fun fusion of quesadillas and pizzas, these Quesadizzas feature crispy flour tortillas loaded with melty cheese, flavorful toppings, and a hint of pizza seasoning. Perfect for a quick and satisfying snack or meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 flour tortillas (8-inch size)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce or marinara sauce
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/2 cup pepperoni slices or other favorite pizza toppings (e.g., bell peppers, olives, onions)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Fresh basil (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat. Lightly brush each tortilla with olive oil on both sides.
  2. Place one tortilla in the hot skillet and cook for 2–3 minutes on one side until lightly golden and crispy.
  3. Flip the tortilla and spread a thin layer of pizza sauce on the cooked side. Sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese, then add your pizza toppings (e.g., pepperoni, bell peppers, onions).
  4. Top with another tortilla, oiled side facing out, and press gently to seal.
  5. Cook the quesadizza for another 2–3 minutes on each side, until the cheese is melted and the tortillas are golden brown and crispy.
  6. Remove from the skillet and slice into wedges. Garnish with fresh basil if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

  • You can customize your quesadizzas with any pizza toppings you like, such as mushrooms, sausage, or olives.
  • For extra crunch, toast the quesadizzas in a preheated oven for 5 minutes after cooking in the skillet.
  • If you prefer a spicier version, sprinkle some red pepper flakes or drizzle hot sauce over the top before serving.
