- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce or marinara sauce
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/2 cup pepperoni slices or other favorite pizza toppings (e.g., bell peppers, olives, onions)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Fresh basil (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat. Lightly brush each tortilla with olive oil on both sides.
- Place one tortilla in the hot skillet and cook for 2–3 minutes on one side until lightly golden and crispy.
- Flip the tortilla and spread a thin layer of pizza sauce on the cooked side. Sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese, then add your pizza toppings (e.g., pepperoni, bell peppers, onions).
- Top with another tortilla, oiled side facing out, and press gently to seal.
- Cook the quesadizza for another 2–3 minutes on each side, until the cheese is melted and the tortillas are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the skillet and slice into wedges. Garnish with fresh basil if desired and serve immediately.
Notes
- You can customize your quesadizzas with any pizza toppings you like, such as mushrooms, sausage, or olives.
- For extra crunch, toast the quesadizzas in a preheated oven for 5 minutes after cooking in the skillet.
- If you prefer a spicier version, sprinkle some red pepper flakes or drizzle hot sauce over the top before serving.
