Description

This Quick Caprese Naan Pizza is a delicious and easy-to-make pizza alternative that’s ready in just minutes! With fresh mozzarella, juicy tomatoes, fragrant basil, and a balsamic glaze on soft, pillowy naan, it’s the perfect light meal or appetizer.

  • 2 naan bread (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup fresh mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, torn
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven or air fryer:

    • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) or your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). If you’re using a traditional oven, line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the naan:

    • Place the naan bread on the baking sheet or air fryer basket. Brush each naan lightly with olive oil, and season with a pinch of salt, pepper, and optional garlic powder and oregano.
  3. Assemble the pizzas:

    • Evenly distribute the shredded mozzarella cheese over the naan, followed by the halved cherry tomatoes. Sprinkle the basil leaves on top and season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
  4. Bake the naan pizzas:

    • If baking in the oven: Bake the naan pizzas for 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the edges of the naan are golden brown.
    • If using the air fryer: Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for about 5-7 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the naan is crispy around the edges.
  5. Finishing touches:

    • Once the pizzas are baked, drizzle them with balsamic glaze for a touch of sweetness and extra flavor. You can also add more fresh basil if desired.
