Description

Reese’s Cheese Ball is a sweet and creamy dessert that combines peanut butter, cream cheese, and candy-coated Reese’s Pieces with a chocolatey, peanut-buttery coating. Perfect for any party or family gathering, this delicious treat is as fun to make as it is to eat. Serve it with graham crackers, pretzels, or fruit for a sweet and savory experience everyone will love!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup mini Reese’s Pieces
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup crushed peanut butter cups (optional)

For the Coating:

  • 1/4 cup mini Reese’s Pieces
  • 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup crushed peanut butter cups

Instructions

  • Prepare the Cheese Mixture: In a large bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, peanut butter, powdered sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  • Add Candies: Stir in 1 cup mini Reese’s Pieces, 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips, and crushed peanut butter cups (if using). Mix until everything is evenly distributed.
  • Shape into a Ball: Use your hands to shape the mixture into a ball. Wrap the cheese ball tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to firm up.
  • Prepare the Coating: In a separate bowl, combine the remaining Reese’s Pieces, mini chocolate chips, and crushed peanut butter cups.
  • Coat the Cheese Ball: After chilling, remove the cheese ball from the fridge. Roll it in the candy mixture until fully coated.
  • Serve: Serve with graham crackers, pretzels, or fruit for dipping. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Chilling is Key: Be sure to refrigerate the cheese ball for at least an hour to ensure it firms up and makes for easier handling when rolling it in the candy coating.
  • Customize the Coating: You can add more of your favorite candies or mix in crushed nuts for a different texture.
  • Flavor Variations: Add a tablespoon of cocoa powder to the mixture for a chocolatey twist or use almond butter for a nutty variation.
